GO BRONCOS!!

For family day we went to lunch and the movies.  Since the Broncos were playing we decided to represent!  I'm pretty sure everyone at the mall was staring at out super coordinated family, but who cares!  We looked amazing!  :)

Beautiful Girl

My little Lexi Lou is not so little anymore.  She decided that it was hard for her to see far away, so we took her to the eye doctor.  He of course said that she needed glasses.  She wanted all black glasses, and these were the winners.  I think she looks fabulous, and WAY too grown up!

Moments

I love waking up to moments like these.  When I woke up, the girls were snuggled up on the couch like this reading a book.  I am very lucky that both my girls love to read and both read very well.  I just love to see the love these girls have for one another.  The bond of sisters will hopefully always be this strong.

School Pics

My pretty girls had fabulous school pictures as always!  Avery was so excited to bring home her pictures because now she could have her picture in the school frame on the wall.  Alexis loved the way her hair looked this year and thinks that she looks very grown up.  I tend to agree!

Joey's 90th Birthday

October 20 Joey turned 90 years old!  What an amazing accomplishment!  Joey has always been a very special man in our lives.  He takes amazing care of my GG and he loves my girls like you wouldn't believe!  We were so honored to be able to celebrate with him and our closest friends and family.  It was so great to see all his family from the east coast surprise him by arriving at his special birthday as well.  It was an overall wonderful day!  Happy birthday Joey!!

Fall Break

For fall break this year we decided to actually go somewhere.  We have our fabulous camp trailer and don't use it nearly as much as we should!  We went up to a place near Payson with some friends.  It was a really great time.  Lots of relaxing, campfires, s'mores, shooting, riding, hiking and games.  I would really love to just live in the woods as the peace and relaxation you feel there are unlike any other.  I love that my girls love the woods as much as Cody and I.  It did get a tad chilly as it rained like crazy one night, but the cool weather was a very welcome change!

First day of school

Yesterday was my girlies first day of school!  Miss Avery was finally in kindergarten and Lexie Lou is a big 3rd grader!  Where has the time gone?!  I remember after Alexis was born we had talked about not wanting our kids to go to daycare all day everyday, but we both still had to work.  We decided that we would try to make it work as long as possible working opposite shifts and days.  In the beginning it seemed virtually impossible, but soon we were able to make it work most of the time.  We had a few babysitters along the way that were amazing and really helped make our lives a little easier, but we always knew we just had to make it to this day.  It seemed like that day was soooo far away at the time, but here it is already!  I love that we were able to be the adults primarily caring for our kids in their early developmental years.  We have had so many great days just hanging out with our girls, them going to work with dad, spending days with GG and Joey, and long days at the park and pools.  Now, they are both in school all day together and mom and dad have to try to figure out what to do with all our spare time!  We dropped the girls off and nobody cried!  It was such a fun morning because they were both so excited!  Then Cody and I got to go on a date to our favorite place, Sushi Creek.  I loved to pick them up in the afternoon seeing them holding hands walking to the car.  So cute, and I love that they love each other so much!  The second day was a little harder dropping off Avery since I just dropped her at the curb and she appeared a tad nervous, but she did fine and was super excited to go back to school for day 2 of kindergarten!

Happy School Days!!!
