Summer fun

We found this awesome public pool by our house this summer. It is called Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center. We call it the water park because it is like a mini water park. The kids have a blast in the little kiddie section, the lazy river, the whirlpool and of course the slides. And the best part is that is only costs us $4 for the entire family to get in for the entire day! It breaks up the monotony of the hot summer days, and makes the kids very tired after!Kodie, Alexis, and Avery

Father's Day 2009

Father's Day this year we were in Prescott. The girls got Cody some shirts, a new MP3 player and some CDs. As you can see in these pics, it was the last day of a very long, busy weekend. We had a lot of fun though seeing family and Cody got to hang out with the boys. We went to dinner at the Texas Roadhouse and had a very yummy dinner.

Of course our family!Alexis getting a dolphin painted on her arm

There was this awesome lady at dinner who was painting the kids faces and arms for free. She was amazing and painted such detail. The kids loved it. Happy Fathers Day Cody! You are the greatest dad a kid could ever ask for. We appreciate all you do for us. We love you!!!!

Father's Day fishing

For Father's Day weekend this year we were in Prescott Valley because Cody wanted to go golf with his dad and cousins on fathers day. So, Avery and I went fishing with uncle Matt, aunt Karie, cousin Kodie, and great grandpa and grandma Scharrer. The little girls had so much fun together. Usually there are other kids around so Avery and Kodie never really get to do anything just them. They really had a great day, and caught a few fish in the meantime!

Here's Avery reeling in her line

Avery's fish!Snack time!

Avery got Ariel all to herself too!

I thought this was so freaking cute! Ariel got tired and found a patch of grass to lay her head on! And the weather was fantabulous as well!

PV days carnival

Now I remember why I am so glad I don't live in PV anymore! We were visiting for the weekend and there was a little carnival so we took the kids. OMG, the people there were so gross! The kids however had a great time and we left like $60 poorer. Ahh, the joys of small town living!

Alexis' dance recital June 2009

Alexis had her second dance recital this year on June 7. She did so awesome. This year she was in 2 dances, one tap and one ballet. It is so much fun and rewarding to see the excitement on your daughters face because she did well on something she had worked hard on for so long. She loves her teacher Miss Angie and has made many friends. It was sort of bittersweet this year because while it was only her second, it will be her last, at least for now. As much as she enjoyed it she says she doesn't want to do dance anymore. So, I will let her make that decision! She wants to try new things like martial arts and football. Ya, that's right, prissy Alexis wants to try martial arts and football. We shall see!

The finale! We couldn't take pics of the recital, but I snuck one of the finale!
