Lots of Averys

Prom dress shopping with Marmmett and Toni, Avery found this mirror. We really weren't paying much attention to her because we were watching Toni try on dresses. When I finally looked at her and listened to what she was saying, she said, "Look mom! Lots of Averys!" I thought that it was so adorable, I had to snap a picture of it!

Laundry

No picture for this post because I am sure no one wants to see my dirty clothes, but I thought it was extremely entertaining. A month or two ago I got fed up with doing so much laundry on top of everything else. So... I quit doing it. This lasted for 5 days or so, and Cody took over. He usually helps with the laundry, but I do the majority (Or did). This went on with no problem. Well, the other day I was at work and Cody was doing laundry. Alexis called out to Avery to see what she was doing. Avery told Alexis that she was helping dad do laundry. Alexis replied, "Laundry?! Why are you doing laundry? Girls don't do laundry!" Man have I taught that girl well! So...today I did laundry. Hey! I have to keep my skills up!

Fighting like cats and dogs

Ariel and Harley are my other 2 kids. They are just as much work as my human kids! This is normally how we see them. I think it is hilarious, because if you look, you can see that Harley is kicking Ariel's butt! Harley is like 100 years old and skin and bones knocking on deaths door and Ariel is young and spry, but Harley definitely has the upper hand! If you ask Avery what sound a cat makes, she will hiss, not meow, because that is the sound OUR cat makes!

And, Harley has learned a little from Ariel's dog school as well! Begging for her treats!

Easter 2009

Easter day was so much fun this year. It was the first year that Avery really understood what was going on. She was so excited that the Easter bunny left her the basket full of stuff and hid eggs in our backyard! The kids woke up at like 0630 and I heard them rifling through their loot. If anyone knows my kids, they know that my kids don't get up until at the earliest 0830! I'm not a very fun mom, so I made them go back to bed until it was actually time to get up! Sorry for all the pics, but they don't call me Fuji for nothing!

Hunting for eggs in backyard

Look at all the eggs! She was so proud!

Avery was excited too!
Then we went to a park in Carefree with Cody's family. They go there every year. The kids love to go and play with their cousins.

A lot of Halliburton kids!

Hunt #2

Ariel went on the hunt too!

Then we played baseball. The girls played tee ball. I took a swing and hit some old lady in the back of the head. Mucho embarrassing! I didn't play anymore after that !

The next morning, the first thing Avery did was go to the back door and look outside to see the eggs. I had to explain to her that the Easter bunny only comes once a year! She was quite disappointed.

Easter festivities

We happened to run in to the Easter bunny when we were out shopping and had to have a picture taken. Avery was a bit nervous, so I ended up in the picture too! Alexis loved the Easter bunny, and Avery liked it after a little while. Avery really liked the sucker it gave her actually!

Then we colored eggs.

Alexis is a pro...

Avery looked like a pro...

Then she ate the dye! It's OK, non toxic!

And then turned into the Incredible Hulk, which by the way is not easy to get off!
The finished product!Dad helped too!

Avery's finished product! They turned out pretty good, and the girls were so proud of themselves. They didn't want to quit so started coloring the eggs over and over again. I thought 36 eggs would be enough for 2 kids!

Disneyland on Ice

We went to Disneyland on Ice last week, and Cody was unable to go because he had to work. So....I took my other kid, Toni!

She watches the kids for us on Fridays and the kids love her (we do too!). I think she had as much fun as my little kids!

Trista was there too with her mom and grandma just in a different section, so she came to visit us before it started!

What does $70 get you?

So I wanted to get a pedicure, and Cody wasn't going to be home until late, so I thought I would just take the girls. I have taken them with me before and they love to watch. So, somehow, Alexis convinced me to let her get her toes done, then it was her fingers, then it was Avery's toes, then Avery's fingers. I never saw Avery so excited though and Alexis loves to be pampered, so I guess it was worth it. But next time...I will wait until Cody gets home!

My toes are really much cuter than this! The angle does not do them justice!

And matching toes
Avery's polka dot fingers
And matching toes.
Oh! And the best thing...the polish just pretty much peeled right off starting the next day in their bath! It must have been the base coat they used or something! Go figure.

All my girls...

After Trista's party we went to my brother's house to see our other niece Kodie. Kodie and Avery are 3 months apart, (same thing, Avery older, Kodie much taller!) so they can be best buds too! Trista had to come too, because her and Alexis are insepperable! I loved having all my girls together. I have 2 daughter and 2 nieces. No nephews, no sons. It is a lot of girls, but so much fun to have all together. I can't wait until they are older, and Trista and Kodie can come here to stay for a week or so in the summer. We will have so much fun. While we were there I helped Trista pull out her tooth. She kept bending it forward and it was totally grossing me out, so I pushed it back really hard and told her to pull it out. Imagne everyone's surprise when it actually did come out! Then everyone started to give her money! She didn't even have to wait for the tooth fairy! I was about to start pulling out some of my teeth! Here are some more pics from that weekend.

First pic no tooth!

My dad's parents with their great granddaughters. I'm sure they love having all these little girls running around!

The next day was my dad's birthday. Kodie and Alexis took a picture with him at lunch, but Avery was being stubborn. He is very old now!! :)

Trista's birthday

The first weekend in april we went to Prescott for my niece Trista's 5th birthday party. Trista and Alexis are exactly 1 week apart, (Alexis older, Trista MUCH taller) and they have always been the best of friends! They had no choice! We had a lot of fun up there for the weekend. Trista's party was as Peter Piper Pizza, and all the kids had a blast!

Alexis learned air hockey and was very good at it. She beat her sister, papa, and her dad, fair and square!
Check out the concentration!
Avery liked it too! Hope you had a great birthday Trista!
