Backyard fun

This is the time of year we really start to enjoy our backyard. The kids only want to be outside, so since its really hot, we play in water! This is Ariel's first summer so she is getting used to the heat, most of the time her tongue is hanging to the ground, but she loves the water too!

Avery loves the slide finally!

And last but not least...look at those cheeks!

Fun days at the park

Even though it is sweltering hot here already, we are really enjoying the evenings. We always go for a walk and usually end up at the park by our house. The kids and dog love it, and mom and dad get to rest on the bench!

Fun day at the Mall

We went to the mall the other day just to pass some time. The girls always want to ride the carousel. At our mall they have this 2 story carousel and the girls always have to ride on top! Avery rode the horse and Alexis rode the zebra being chased by the gorilla. Fun times for all!

Then on the way home we gave them candy. Easy enough right?
WRONG! Avery loved every minute of it though!

My Birthday

This year I was not very excited about my birthday because I feel so old! I know, I am not that old, but it is my last year in the 20's. After that you have to be a responsible adult because you can't plead ignorance or youth. Not that I'm not already responsible, I just like to know I have the option! Obviously I was not very excited because the Fuji in me did not even get a good pic of myself! The only ones from that day (May 14 in case you still want to send a gift!) are silly ones. So, for your viewing pleaseure....

And, lastly, I have been finding some odd pictures on my camera. Apparently my little Alexis enjoys taking silly pics of herself. Hmmm, wonder where she learned that! I'm guessing Toni, her favorite 16 year old friend!!! Here are 2 silly ones, there are about 30 more, but I won't post them all for obvious reasons!!!

Classic

And she's off!

Alexis learned to ride her bike without training wheels a few weeks ago, I just haven't had time to blog about it! Now that I am home with strep throat, I have nothing but time! Anyway, after hours of her trying to convince me that she was not physically capable of riding without training wheels until 6 years old, she finally agreed to at least try. So we took her wheels off and by the second night she was all the way down the street. She was so proud of herself! Now she tells everyone, "I can ride my bike without training wheels and I am not even 6!"

Mother's Day 2009

This Mother's Day we decided to do something a little different. We went to the Diamondbacks game. They won this time so it was a lot of fun. Alexis was a little disappointed that they didn't have cheerleaders in baseball, and Avery was excited because it was her first real game to see. I love my girls so much and enjoyed spending this special day with them.

Family fun

This week we had the opportunity to get together with every living member of my family from both sides for my niece Kodie's birthday party. It was really awesome to have our entire family in one place if only for a day!

Everyone!

It's summer time!

The swimming fun has begun! Thank goodness for the community heated pool! We spend much of the summer there and the kiddos are loving it already. When I get tired of doing laundry today, that's where we will be!
