First day of school

Yesterday was my girlies first day of school!  Miss Avery was finally in kindergarten and Lexie Lou is a big 3rd grader!  Where has the time gone?!  I remember after Alexis was born we had talked about not wanting our kids to go to daycare all day everyday, but we both still had to work.  We decided that we would try to make it work as long as possible working opposite shifts and days.  In the beginning it seemed virtually impossible, but soon we were able to make it work most of the time.  We had a few babysitters along the way that were amazing and really helped make our lives a little easier, but we always knew we just had to make it to this day.  It seemed like that day was soooo far away at the time, but here it is already!  I love that we were able to be the adults primarily caring for our kids in their early developmental years.  We have had so many great days just hanging out with our girls, them going to work with dad, spending days with GG and Joey, and long days at the park and pools.  Now, they are both in school all day together and mom and dad have to try to figure out what to do with all our spare time!  We dropped the girls off and nobody cried!  It was such a fun morning because they were both so excited!  Then Cody and I got to go on a date to our favorite place, Sushi Creek.  I loved to pick them up in the afternoon seeing them holding hands walking to the car.  So cute, and I love that they love each other so much!  The second day was a little harder dropping off Avery since I just dropped her at the curb and she appeared a tad nervous, but she did fine and was super excited to go back to school for day 2 of kindergarten!

Happy School Days!!!

Happy 4th of July!!

For the weekend before the 4th of July we went to Prescott to see our families.  On Saturday we were able to go downtown for a little while to see the festivities.  It was actually fun since it has been years since we have done that!  The girls enjoyed the fair food and craft booths and the cooler weather!  On the actual 4th we went to a movie, then swimming at Marmmett's house, then watched the fireworks.  Love these summer holidays!

Summer Vacation 2012

For our vacation this summer we decided to go for an extended camping trip.  We love camping and our trailer sooo much and it never seems we are able to spend enough time in it!  We had a great time, and the week went way too fast!  Lots of quad riding, hiking and fishing.  We even found a random tire swing in the woods on one of our hike!  That provided quite the entertainment!  Sometimes I wish we lived up in the woods because it is just so beautiful and the kids and dog love it, but I'm sure I would change my mind when there is 3 feet of snow up there!!!

Isn't this how every girl dresses camping?!

Good thing it was only a tiny tree Avery ran into!

We LOVE this creek

Crawdad fishing

She was too scared to ride the tire!

Muddy lake

Ariel just laid down in the mud, she was in heaven!

Camping done right, covered in dirt from head to toe!
