Dirt Track Racing

Cody's new obsession is dirt track racing.  Cody, his dad, his uncles and cousin all race dwarf cars at the dirt tracks.  It is actually quite fun to watch and embrace my inner redneck.  He built his car from the bottom up and is pretty proud of it!  Its one of the best looking cars out there for sure!  Now just working on it being one of the fastest cars out there!  :)

Easter 2012

Easter is one of my favorite holidays.  It is all about candy, eggs, and bunnies.  Love it.  We colored eggs, hunted eggs, got lots of goodies in our baskets and saw the bunny at the dirt track races.  :)  We spent the day at Marmmett's house where she made a fabulous dinner for GG, Joe, the girls and I.  Cody was at the Diamondbacks game with his dad and uncles.  After dinner, the girls went swimming in Marmmett's pool which was WAY too cold for me!  They didn't care and had a great time while the rest of us ate our weight in chocolate.  

Lexi's 8th Birthday Party

This year for Lexi's party she had a "Wheels Party" at the park down the street from our house.  She wanted everyone to come and bring their wheels and just play.  It was a tad hot, but we had shade to sit in and lots of cool drinks and good food.  Most of the family came and lots of her friends.  It was a great day celebrating my big 8 year old girl!

Eight is Great!

So I'm a little behind, but better late than never!  Alexis turned 8 on March 22.   She has really grown upso much this past year!  I still can't believe she is already 8 and on her way to 3rd grade.  She is such a loving, sensitive, big helper, and amazing big sister.  She loves softball, riding bikes, swimming, and generally anything outdoors!  She prefers to play with boys because the girls play "dumb things like dolls and house".  Gotta love my little tomboy! On her actual birthday she got a BB gun from us.  She loves it and shoots it all the time at a target in the backyard.  Even Avery got a try! For dinner she picked Sushi Creek (my fave) and we had a fabulous dinner and desert to celebrate her big day.

Softball Girls

This year both Alexis and Avery played softball.  Avery played Tee-ball and Alexis played Coach Pitch.  Lex is pretty much obsessed with softball and this year became quite the player.  She LOVES it and her dad loves to coach her!  Avery, well she had fun, but is very much obsessed with dancing as evidenced by her dancing in the outfield most games!
